The Tualatin Together Student Group STAND UP helps promote alcohol and drug free fun and education at Tualatin High and in the community. Students engage in events planning and social norms marketing. They partner with teachers and school administrators to educate students and parents about prevention. They also assist the Tualatin Together Coalition in their efforts.

This group has hit the ground running in its first year. They held their first Red Ribbon hand painting event. Many students participated by signing a contract not to drink or use drugs. Then each student painted his/her hand to make a hand print on a large banner that hangs in the entrance way at Tualatin High School. The banner serves as a reminder of the large number of students who choose to make good choices. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest national youth prevention effort.

Students who would like to make a difference in their school and community are encouraged to join. For more information call
